Thickness: 2mm - full coverage in 2mm, the midway mark of surfing neoprenes in Australia and the perfect mid-season thickness for most of us. In QLD you can definitely get away with 2mm in winter.
Style: Spring Suit - springies are short leg & short arm wetsuits, no neoprene on the elbows and knees gives you full freedom of movement and puts less resistance on the shoulder. Great for core temp retention, not the best at cutting windchill.
Rubber: E5 Neoprene - a few years ago E5 was the stretchiest neoprene on the market and thanks to Rip Curl's material trickle down you can now revel in once top-tier flexibility and warmth without the price.
Seam: GBS Seam - Glued and Blindstitched seams are the stretchiest stitched seam thanks to the expanding nature of the stitch but better still the seams is sealed! A hooked needle is used to stitch the suit without creating any pin-holes through the entire panel that would leter water in, the seam is then bonded with an elastic glue to provide durability and further sealing.
Zip: Chest Zip - the zip is positioned across the upper torso, this means that your back stretch is no longer inhibited and being that the zip is 1/2 or less length than a backzip, the amount of water ingress because of the zip is halved. Warm and stretchy, the two things we all want from our wetty.
Yulex Neoprene - a plant based neoprene and a full circle back to the origins of rubber: Trees (the forest is also FSC Certified). This green approach to wetsuits means that the foam sandwiched within the 2 jersey layers (neoprene is a 3 layer material) is no longer sourced from petroleum byproducts.
E5 Tape - it's like sticky tape for the inside of the seam, but made of fancy neoprene to improve durability and create a barrier against cold-water entry.
